To be fair as it gets to the end naming the final few countries and when they absolished slavery is quiet eye opening. 1981 Mauratania became the last country in the Sarhara region to abolish slavery and some regions across there still have slavery... when the entire world has been up in arms about using African slaves. Quite a juxtaposition that innit. And Pakistan giving it up in 1992. Pretty shocking really.
It started being documented in 3500 BCE (BC for us old farts) so its been about for 5.5 thousand years on paper/tablet again we were here involved for 200 years. The Kunte Kinte style of being kidnapped by the white men was <10% of slave acquisitions for the Americas most were purchased from African kings/traders.
Oddly none of those truths or lived experiences make it to the open its just people with their hands out to the west.
20% of the British sailors died on a journey to Africa about the same as slaves mortality on the way back yet that is held as an indictment. 805 of Laves dies on voyages via the Sahara with the Arabs.

Do check the only African king who opposed slavery and why, it is shocking.

What makes you think that anyone would be interested in an "unbiased investigation into slavery"? Those who are interested would, I suggest, be looking for a defence against claims for reparations. Those who are interested in the payment of reparations will avoid the topic like the plague.
Nobody is interested in "facts" or "the truth" anymore!Old Greg - In search of acceptance since Mar 2007. Hoping each leap will be his last.Comment
