I'm perfectly at ease to admit I was not born a Chelsea fan, which I blame on my father for lack of guidance in such an important matter. I do, however, recollect going to Plough Lane in 1990 to watch the mighty blues lose to Wimbledon & getting soaked for the pleasure, whilst still a young lad. So no, not quite a post-1997 recruit.
