Anyone who buys a skoda and thinks they have and Audi and saved 10k is sadly deluded, same chassis maybe but the panels and paint are better/thicker quality the interior's are sublime and probably the best you'll get in any mass market car, Bose in car entertainment etc etc...

Wrong!
The new Audi TT is a completely new spaceframe chassis using new production technique not seen on any other car where by it is mix of Aluminium and Steel.
It is not shared with any other model.
For those that haven't seen one it looks very little like the old blob TT of old.

With optimum weight distribution thanks to the hybrid body shell combining 69% aluminium content in the frontal section and 31% steel at the rear, the latest TT provides the best possible conditions in which the advanced sports suspension with optional magnetic ride and the powerful Turbo FSI four-cylinder and naturally aspirated V6 petrol engines can shine.
The original TT Coupé, launched in the UK in 1999, was itself no stranger to awards. Top Gear Magazine named it one of its “Favourites of the Year” in 2001, and it was voted Best Coupé for five consecutive years (1999-2003) by the team at What Car? Magazine.
The new Audi TT Coupé 2.0 TFSI is priced at £24,625 OTR, and the TT Coupé 3.2 quattro at £29,285 OTR.

We're not talking about a sub 10k supermini, but something supposedly premium. All the jap sports cars are built as a one off concept.
