We've asked it to be delayed until May while we redecorate. Standard is 8 weeks I think.

Hi LB...Hmmm, didn't think of that. We've put a 15% deposit down, full payment on delivery. Fingers crossed.

Love to order designer stuff but we've forked out stacks already on renovating the house/office.

Feck me that's the ugliest piece of furniture I have ever laid eyes on.

Here's some advice. If you want help in choosing something fashionable, chic and attractive, don't come to an IT Contractors forum.

In heavens name man what were you thinking?

Cancel the order, don't start decorating: get some design lessons. Then, armed with a better appreciation of form and function begin life again.

Why not have your sofa recovered in something other than leather, I'm getting mine done in velvet with a scotchgard protection. I looked but couldn't find anything as well made as the one I had and re-covering seemed a good option.

Only a fool buys a sofa for cash unless they are physically loading it in the van the moment that the dosh is handed over.

Furniture shops have the absolute worst record in the high street of going broke and if this happens, and you paid in cash, your money is lost.

Always, always, always, buy large furniture items that you have to wait 'n' months to be delivered with a credit card (or some other form of protected loan).

There's a reason why furniture companies offer you a good deal for cash. It's because they are having cash flow difficulties. Processing the card costs a maxmum of 2%, a discount anything larger than this for cash should ring very loud alarm bells.

Bought a 3 and a 2 seat brand new black leather sofa off ebay 2 years ago for £500. The guy had them delivered next day. He had loads for sale at the time.

Save your money and put it towards getting the hell out of Banbury. Seriously, you owe it to your family...
