I'm loving how it's described as an "IT glitch" ... no it's not, it's a human error. A human chose to use Excel. Very funny ... well, it would be if it didn't put lives at risk

Don’t be surprised that Track and Trace is an Excel spreadsheet: The modelling that this whole fiasco was based on was programmed by Neil Ferguson on a ZX80.

Thars not the issue though. It's not a lack of training or excel knowledge it's the wrong tool for the job.

They should have called me; I could have knocked them up a Dbase iii database up with a swanky Clipper UI It's always the right tool for the right job .... and I'm that tool
