btw - which version of Quickbooks did you use?? some versions has good reviews others have bad ones?

Doin' well Girl.
I'm ticking off the days until the end of this contract - it's driving me up the wall.
I'm using the Payroll 2006 version ('Pro'?).
Have a word with your accountant - they should be able to recommend a package. Mine put me onto QB , set up my company on it for me and taught me how to use it ("all part of the service").
I wasn't happy not having control of my accounts and this is a piece of cake, even the VAT.
I email my database a few times a year and they check that I'm doing it correctly."I can put any old tat in my sig, put quotes around it and attribute to someone of whom I've heard, to make it sound true."
