Quantifiable across the entire board. It always been obvious that specific mods and specific posters get into disagreements that linger to the point the poster leaves. That clearly is what this thread is about.
You even admit that you use your position to gaslight suity ( which isn't hard and we all do it) but that is exactly what I am talking about. When a mod does it resentment builds in the poster against the board.
I'm guessing Suity and zeity must have had something like 100k posts between them now and they are gone.
What I always asked and was never told was why did this change happen. I never got an answer if it was an editorial top down business led decision. Or what was more likely that you migrated the server about 8 years ago and just fancies using the new functionality with a new team of moderators.
And on the subject of norks, Churchill and I complained about the bouncing ball advert for over a year causing problems in the office. Completely ignored.Comment

Admin is a wimp. I usually pay extra for overuse of norks to abuse level.Originally posted by NotAllThere View PostAt the time, Admin decided that the overuse of norks was getting abusiveComment

Would you actually want to be a mod? Seriously.Originally posted by minestrone View PostQuantifiable across the entire board. It always been obvious that specific mods and specific posters get into disagreements that linger to the point the poster leaves. That clearly is what this thread is about.

Absolutely not but I believe they bring most of the problems on themselves and it's the board that eventually suffers.Originally posted by BrilloPad View PostWould you actually want to be a mod? Seriously.Comment

About 50% of posters think they are too harsh. 50% of posters think they are too lenient.Originally posted by minestrone View PostAbsolutely not but I believe they bring most of the problems on themselves and it's the board that eventually suffers.
If the board suffers then if that really an issue except for admin? It is not as if we pay money for it.
I miss Zeity, EO, eek, FG, Xeno, SallyAnne, CM, Churchill among many others.Comment
