Wasn't that long ago it was under $1K, so really, is a tiny blip this 50% fall. When it's lost 99.9% it will be back to where it was a few years ago.First Law of Contracting: Only the strong survive -

Wall St bonus cheques + this could explain such a massive sell off.
These folks like to get in at good prices. Just chucked another £500 FIAT into Uphold. Might be able to get a whole ETH if I time it well enough..."Is someone you don't like allowed to say something you don't like? If that is the case then we have free speech."- Elon MuskComment

FTFY. Well said that man, that's the spirit.Originally posted by _V_ View PostI suppose with enough investment you could effectively retire and just mine crypto for a living
With 8 rigs and 12 cards in each rig you could make £1168 profit per week based on the valuation and mining difficulty I initially provided of $52/Zen. Thats £60k per year tax free due to it currently falling under currency speculation upon which tax (from what little I have read) does not appear to be due.
Initial investment in that setup for the graphics cards based on what I paid would be £21k. Supporting hardware would be about £7-8k. Totally passive income.Comment

Once I build my rig i'll be trying to mine Eth before it goes back up and then go back over to Zen.Comment

Sounds similar to an Ethereum mining rig built by a UK dude in the last few weeks documented in the following vids - straight to the point and worth a watch if you're doing a UK build.Originally posted by mattfx View PostOkay, so the hardware:
6 X 1060 GTX graphics cards
Bioshock 12 PCI-e slot motherboard
Celeron crappy processor - Kaby Lake though.
4 GB RAM
6 PCI Risers
6 80mm fans
64 GB thumb drive for SMOS
1000W Modular PSU with support for 8 PCIe outputs
N.B Ignore everything he mentions about Bitconnect - they shut their doors yesterday .. most investors have lost money. The BCC coin now is down 96% to $7.20 (coinmarketcap) following the closure notice.
