Smug mode not so charged this morning, bought half back in. I sold because I though it would come crashing down. Actually the forthcoming news looks like the opposite.

Good lesson though many often miss. Take profits while you can and make this racket real.

Stop watching it every minute. By April next year it'll be 2 to 3 its current price. If you can find a savings account match that, go for it.

Patterns of intent usually emerge every 6 weeks or so. Feck me I'm still holding a ton of NMR after a 60% collapse in price. But will not sell it.

Why?

A hedge. If it breaks $5100 then I'll load up again. The next stop is likely to be in the region of $7k. However it might not break up and instead head down to the last support level, $4300.

When playing with 1 or 2 bitcoins it is not big deal. When playing with a few dozen, you learn to hedge.

You keep saying stuff like this, you said it would be worth 4x by the end of last month. Fact is, you haven't got a scooby-doo what will happen in future and it has just as much chance of falling even further.

I'm not selling, nor am I watching it "every minute". I have only a small amount. I'm treating this very much as a gambling. So I keep an eye on the ones I have and if it raises above the value I paid for it I'll keep a close eye on it and sell if I think it's worth it.

It would have increased were it not for the news coming out of China last month banning BC. No one saw that. If I had a crystal ball I'd be a millionaire by now.

Everyone feels crap when watching value tank, myself included. Truth is I'm up 20 times when I started out this year. That's not to cry over. Got to take some perspective.

I still think Stellar, NMR, IOP, and SAFEX are steals right now. Providing China does not ban time from moving forward, all those coins will see massive gains before the years end.

I'd hold off though until the BC fork has gone through, Oct 26th I think. Yes it might jump up on the hype of excitement, I've decided not to be a part of that for the time being.
