So Farage and the rest who can't be bothered to turn up have actually broken the party's founding principles anyway and should have turned up to cash in on more money UK taxpayers are paying them for doing something rather than doing nothing.

The Germans could put 10% on their Mercs, Audis and BMWs and we'd (the rich) still buy them.
If they put 10% on "our" Toyotas, Hondas and Nissans, the Japs would simply move their factories to Europe as sales fell.
If you want to play hard ball it does help if you own your own industrial base.

Here's how it will be: we'll get access to the single market provided we play by their rules.
Take it or leave it.
At that point the politics will get interesting here

Pretty sure (quick Google search) that UK is the second biggest contributor to E.U. which leaves Germany and France holding the can, along with (much) smaller contributions from Belgium, Denmark, Italy, Netherlands, Sweden etc.

Cost of membership going up year on year, Gravy Train costs, possible future bailouts, less countries to pay for it = E.U. going down the tulip pipe.

This is why E.U. indexes are struggling a lot more than UK ones, and I'd hereby like to lay claim to the term "The Unshackling Effect".

I explained this before the vote but it is just too hard for them. The only country that may suffer more from tariffs is Ireland.

Sorry, slip of the pen, so to speak, I meant if we put the tariffs up in a tit for tat. I'm assuming 10% as that's the standard EU tariff.
Jap wagons have always been better value, my point is that Germans have that elusive "status" that means people will buy them anyway.

these all count as British made vehicles.
