Putin makes a joke that is overheard ("doing a Dubya" tm) about the Israeli president raping 10 women.

But, "Russian is a very complicated language, sometimes it is very sensitive from the point of view of phrasing".

OK, what did he really say, then?

"Send regards to your President! He turned out to be a real stud! 10 women raped! I never expected that of him! He sure suprised us all. We all envy him!"

Not even Dubya would say that: you don't hear much that stuff from Putin because he is naturally careful to say a word, and no TV in Russia would even mention that accident, most newspapers won't either: it is self-censorships are people are afraid for their jobs, and some for their lifes.

People will never value something that was given them for free - they have to fight for it and die, and even so some centuries later they may become complacent and forget the price that was paid for freedoms they take for granted.
