Covers

[stek]

Never heard of any of them. Nor the song.

Tsoi was the soviet Lennon...

Always thought that Stiff Little Fingers cover of the Specials Doesn't Make It Alright was better than the original.

For a proper hardcore cover, try this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EUCLoPFvNKY

[Dark Black]

Not "better than original" but good covers nevertheless:

Comfortably Numb - Sisters of Mercy

Green Manalishi - Judas Priest (clearly Peter Green was a guitar god back in the day but Priest did do a decent heavy rock version)

Baby One More Time - The Faces of Sarah (Goth does Britney!)

This one tops the lot for me....

[aoxomoxoa]

Grateful Dead - Morning Dew

[I just need to test it]

The White Stripes - Jolene.

Alanis Morissette - My Humps.

[I just need to test it]

John Otway - House Of The Rising Sun

As amused as I am by John Otway I badly wanted to punch his face in within fifteen seconds of the start of this song.

[Pogle]

I second Jonny Cash and Hurt

Also Soft Cell - Tainted love.

But the best ever cover - ever in the history of the world is....

Walk on By by the Stranglers
