Could be worse, your missus could use all the hot water showering the dog, then rinsing the shower, then showering herself, then rinsing the shower - a process which takes 45 minutes with the shower on full hot.
I'm sure she's scalding the dog.
Then I get in for a cold shower, whether I want one or not...
