    Get out....

Its bad but hypothetically speaking if one was to be offered a job at double the rate with all expenses paid how would you get out of you existing contract?

    Tell the truth?
Lie and say you need an operation?

I assume you mean you can't find anybody properly qualified to sub.

If that's the case, put somebody sub-standard up. The client refuse to continue, and terminate the contract - job done...

I'd be kicking myself at my poor negotiation in my current role.

No 4 week notice period or is the other contract immediate start?

Post it on JobServe or some similar site? You'll have to pay a bit but it sounds like 2 days at your new rate would cover this... you don't need to make a profit from your sub after all.

Or post the details on here. There are enough people on the bench.
