    Silverlight

I've got 1.5 years Flex experience and I'm finding this is by far the most interesting of my skills, compared to 6 years C++ and other things. Apparently it's a relatively rare skillset.

I never did any work with Silverlight but from a technological (nerd) perspective it's quite interesting and something I'd love to play with if I got the time to learn new skills. I wondered if there is much commercial use forn this, since it is a direct competitor to Flex, or if it has failed to attract much interest so far?

i'm a .NET developer with the typical MS skillset

i mentioned on my CV that i have had some commercial experience of silverlight (albeit prototyping and proof of concept) and in the last 6 months have had 3 (if I recall correctly) geniune-sounding phonecalls that were having trouble finding a silverlight person and thus paying good £.

they were all for new media-ish companies in london.

i doubt many places are using it, though IIRC the NBC Olympics coverage site (with backing from the Olympic committee and MS) was using it.

    hope that helps
