If it's not the apps crashing, it's whole networks going down. I don't think we're ready for going completely cash-less yet.
I try to avoid cash as much as possible. I certainly never carry coins - I just keep a few in the car for these annoying car park machines that don't take cards. Which should be banned.

our "copper" coins have been copper plated for some time now as the original metal content was of a greater value than the face value of the coin. What I find interesting is that the Royal mint has managed to make a copper plated coin with the same weight and size as a solid copper one and with the same electronic signature.
