    50p

How much does it cost to make 50p? If the contract is cancelled, currently on hold, it will cost 11.5 million which works out at GBP1.15 per coin. Nearly as cheap as a cancelled ferry contact...

Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

Who uses cash anymore anyway? Apart from drug dealers, prostitutes and tax evaders that is.

      So, you use cash then?
Scoots still says that Apr 2020 didn't mark the start of a new stock bull market.

If you knew who coded your online banking apps, you'd carry some cash.

If it's not the apps crashing, it's whole networks going down. I don't think we're ready for going completely cash-less yet.

So Wetherspoons will still accept cash?

I try to avoid cash as much as possible. I certainly never carry coins - I just keep a few in the car for these annoying car park machines that don't take cards. Which should be banned.

our "copper" coins have been copper plated for some time now as the original metal content was of a greater value than the face value of the coin. What I find interesting is that the Royal mint has managed to make a copper plated coin with the same weight and size as a solid copper one and with the same electronic signature.
