VPN and Proxy Servers

[BoredBloke]

Hi, as I'm working away I want to look into setting my home PC as a proxy so that I can use BBC I PLayer from overseas. I don't think a slingbox will work as the hotel I'm staying in has a poor internet speed.

What is the best way of doing this? Is there any free reliable sw for doing it? I'm using Vista at the mo on both PC's.

Is there a complete fecwits guide to proxies? I'm on a limited timeframe as I head back tomorrow afternoon.

If you're pressed for time, what about just using one of these:

edit - ok so most of them appear dead but http://anonymouse.org/ does appear to be working with iPlayer
