Why should HMRC care? Apart from the Trussonomic blip, they’ve got IR35 tied up in a big red bow.

It is about person A, UK contractor who has to work away from home paying 4x as much for his hotel and travel expenses compared to person B who works for the Prime Minister’s family.

The government expects to lose money, but wants to lose it to the right people.
