I don't think that datasheet is ever going to turn up.

I was only vaguely interested in what the thing was, and for two free samples, it really doesn't matter much.

It just irritated me a bit that I couldn't find any data, and now it would appear that no one else can either.

You will always be wondering about this component.

You could write a personal letter to Texas Instruments. They'd respond for good PR. The congregation here could help with the text.
