    Agent demands I give him my NI number, othervise they cannot pay me

    Hi comrades, So I am about to embark on a contract, but have to go through a storm of agency BS. Agent is telling me that agency cannot pay me until I give them my NI number. What are they trying to atchieve? Agency is paying my company, not me. So why do they want my NI number?
