Very interesting stuff Gents, thanks for the insight...
So, what's the sensible thing to say?
"I know your just trawling for leads, so kindly do one... Unless you can give me the name of the client, and a proper JD"?
Many thanks.
Hi All,
After reading around on here, I can see that a well known "scam" is that when called by a recruiter about a supposed position, they can/will ask for your references at this point, before your CV can be submitted. I understand that this information is then used by them to generate...
Hi Guys,
I'm coming towards the end of my first 6 months with the client... I generally don't get much in the way of feedback from them, but am always looking to improve professionally, and ensure they are happy with the service they are receiving.
Would it be bad practice (and a very...
So, if you've got different people, doing a different number of days work, it doesn't seem quite fair for them all to take the same basic salary?
If one of them only ends up doing 1 day of work a month, but still ends up taking the same monthly salary as one of the others, doing 15 days in the...
Thinking in more detail... The one thing I'd struggle with, is what their salaries would be
Seeing ass the amount of work each person would do is variable both short term, and long term, setting the salaries could be tricky?
Very interesting (and contrasting!) views there guys, thank you very much.
Are there any other approaches they could consider? Obviously they are trying to make it as tax efficient as possible (aren't we all!)

Could I also claim back 80% of my annual car tax and insurance costs? Is this legit?
Many thanks!
Hi Gents,
I'm relatively new to contracting, so please excuse the lack of insight.
My mother and 2 of her colleagues (who are all retiring very shortly), are looking to set themselves up, and deliver educational consultancy/training into schools.
They're planning to set up a business to do...
Fair advice Murder... I suppose those would be a couple of routes in.
I've been looking at online training courses... Could they be worth a punt? It'd mean I could pop ERP training on the CV, even if the experience isn't practical/work based yet...
Pretty much... With PM'ing being generally a lot of common sense and people skills, I'd hope to be able to work on ERP (maybe at a lower level at first), without being exposed to it first... But I don't want to go and blag a job, saying I've got ERP experience when that's not the case.
Most of...
