Forum for contractors looking for accomodation?

Does anybody know if there is a board on here or elsewhere that a Contractor can find short/long term accommodation? I know in the past I've hated staying in a B&B for 6 months and was wondering if anybody knows of a place where contractors can find a house/flat to rent for the duration of their...

NetworkersMSB Agents - Anyone ever heard of them? Any good?

Yeah, what actually happened? I've realised they work to a massive profit margin. Doesn't mean I actually have to go with them though as there are at least 4 other agencies called me about the same role. 2 of them "I like plague avoid" myself.

    Contracting Again

I can recommend 1st Option to get you up and running and do your accountancy, although they are a bit pricey. Never had a single problem with them. Used them for a while but use local accountant now I know the system a little better.

NetworkersMSB Agents - Anyone ever heard of them? Any good?

First time I've had these call me and was just wondering if anyone has had any previous experience with them? Please don't tell me they're part of SThree lol. :)

Honestly, how difficult is it to keep your own accounts?

I've had some bad experiences with accountants over the past year and to be honest, don't really trust what my current one is doing. I'm pretty sure things are getting bad as I've had my first phone call from the IR asking for late Tax/NI payments. This is something I'm paying my accountant to...

no Faggots in Fairytale of New York

The BBC have banned the word without there actually being any complaints. Isn't that just the darndest thing? Well done BBC, you've opened up a right can of worms here.

Adequate Level of Professional Indemnity Insurance

I think the word "limit" may come into play here. In which case £1m would be fine. Or have I got it tits-up?

    'IR35-friendly' contracts could mean jail

So that one little statement is really all the contract needs to be outside of IR35? Seems to good to be true!

    'IR35-friendly' contracts could mean jail

That makes perfect sense gunman. So going back to my original question, how can Bauer & Cottrell legally get away with liasing with your agent to secure a more IR35 friendly contract?

    'IR35-friendly' contracts could mean jail

Hmm, it's a tricky one. Thanks for the info Beaker. How can it ever be proven though if you ask your agency to change the contract, they do it and issue the contract for you to sign? Surely it's the agency that hold all the cards here? Or maybe not?

Is this the start of 7 years of woe?

I really can't see why a few hundred quid has panicked people into selling their houses quickly. How utterly stupid is that? :freaky:

    help please newbie

I found I had the same problem switching over. You need to hand your notice in tomorrow, then start telling agencies when you're available from. Make it sound like you're currently on a contract as well if you can get away with it. The first one is always the hardest but once you're in. I was...
