No I meant your CV doesn't reflect any contract work, it looks like a permanent person trying to move into contracting. I would suggest to just take any day rate at this stage, just to get contracting work on your CV (unless that is already what you doing).
I just use Jobserve when you looking...
Normally you would secure the contract before leaving a permanent job but if it was not by choice then that is understandable. You have don't have a contractor CV that will play against you when applying for contracts. I wouldn't pay any agency commission to secure a contract they already get a...
As per the other poster, you may be asking the Agency for a rate increase but the Agency may go back to the client to try and get them to increase the rate so they don't have to cut their slice of the pie. So for a 1 month increase you stand the chance of pissing off the agency and the client.

Client pointed it out to me when we talking about when the contract comes to an end. I pointed this out to the agency but they have still not come back to me on the matter (they pretty hopeless).
The agency during my last renewal made the contract a month longer than what the client agreed with them (ie. contract with agency ends in September, client's contract ends in August). Now the client wants to renew for another 3 months so really isn't a big issue, I'll rectify it on the renewal...
