    The Ashes

I'm English, not bloody Aussie. They are obviously not excuses, and I'm not saying they were the better side. I'm just pointing out ironic facts. If you are incapable of processing them then hard luck with the brain you were given.

    The Ashes

In this series: Batting - Six Aussies averaged over 40 (8 hundreds), but only two English players did (2 hundreds, and one was Trott who only played one game). Bowling - Three Aussies got 20 or more wickets, no English players did Fielding - Aussies got more run-outs, England dropped more...

Usain Bolt sets new 100m world record

Not this time, which probably accounted for at least half the improvement on his world record.

    Sudoku Query

I just wanted to brag that I know this EO, but I won't spoil it for anyone that doesn't.

More red tape - Will these busibodies never stop?

Correct. And no child should ever be left alone in the company of only one of its parents. Unless it's a single parent, obviously, and they will have to get an advanced CRB ticket before giving birth, or the child will be sent for adoption.

    Isn't it, mmmm, marvellous?

You're forgiven, glory-hunter. :wink Actually, I follow all football. I don't ignore everything outside "the premier league".

More red tape - Will these busibodies never stop?

No children should ever be shown on TV. That will stop all those paedo's sat at home lechering over them. Same principle as stopping parents taking photos or videos of school plays or sports days.

    Isn't it, mmmm, marvellous?

The first day of the new season was last week. You must have been asleep. Since the first lot of league games we have had our first managerial sacking, the first England international, the first round of the league cup, the first Suralex rant at a ref, and the first Scotland football team disaster.

Swindon and playing the MK Dons this afternoon.

    invoice charges?

This is the first time I've heard of someone charging you for invoicing them, let alone £80! I've obviously never used one of these umbrellas. Is this charge usual? What other rip-offs do they inflict on their "customers"?

    Cyclist jailed for pavement death

Must be. A car couldn't get past him to cut him up.

    Mandelbum on R4

The thing is, I've got nothing against Lords. They are largely an affable bunch who try and get things right (most ex-MPs behave differently once they get there) But Mandelson degrades the title. He's just a macheavelian s**t, who doesn't do anything to benefit the nation. There, I feel...

Patent madness: MS banned from selling Word

Good plan.:D A better plan is to skip the bit about OpenOffice altogether.

Patent madness: MS banned from selling Word

I go to a client and I ask them to switch from MS Office to OpenOffice, to be compatable with me. They tell me to f*** off, they'll find someone else. What's my answer to that?

    Mandelbum on R4

On Radio Five as well, and ten minutes of waffle amounted to this. Interviewer: Unemployment is worse than you inherited from the Tories. Mandelson: It would be even worse if the Tories were in power. Interviewer: Why aren't all these apprenticeship schemes getting young people into work...
