Haha!! Yes, perhaps I should count my blessings!!
I'm just one of those sorts of people that likes to be busy, perhaps I should learn to enjoy taking it easy.
It seems with every contract I do, there are lulls along the way. And I go through times like this where they want to keep me but...
haha.. that's hilarious! I guess a similar thing would happen here if I were to leave, they'd get someone else in to sit an do nothing, and pay them well to do so. May as well sit on the gravy train until something else comes along. :tumble:
Thanks for clarifying, I understand what you mean. I share your concerns hence why even tho I know BaU are snowed under I'm not touching it with a barge pole and not offering to help!
Cheers for your advice!
Also, as I say above I will be loooking for new gigs. The WFH is just a short term strategy to stop me going insane while looking - might take me a few weeks.
I have tried approaching this client previously re things being quiet the issue is that the client has very little experience and so...

I would love to, but as I say it the client has everyone in one office and it's not that big, so everyone can see what I'm doing. If I were to do that I'd give it a week and I'd be out the door as the perms (who are v v busy with other stuff) would get pretty narked off quickly.
Thanks.
I've had a similar situation in my last contract and I'm not sure if perhaps it is something I'm doing or perhaps something in the water around here :ohwell
With the last place tho, I found out after I was in that they had to fill the contract and keep it filled otherwise their budget...
Hi, I've been in my current contract for about a year. It runs out 31 Dec, and they've already said they would like to renew me to June 17. The rate is good.
Thing is I don't have much work to do at all. There were some big chunky deliverables which I've dully delivered. The client seems...
