Hey, for the time I was using them they had a spreadsheet that I used to fill out every quarter for them to calculate my VAT and then year end submissions. They did then develop an online portal, which was bloody awful. I couldn’t get on with it at all so continued to use the spreadsheet up...
Forgive my ignorance, I have read through the thread, but how did CK act any differently to any other large contractor accountant, ie SJD. I used SJD for a number of years up to 2020 when I dissolved my limited.
I’m just trying to work out whether I should be concerned or not.
Thanks...
Quick question on the Hoey case... (for anyone who may know).
Would a win for this case only be beneficial to users who had disclosed their loans using a DOTAS reference number, or would it be beneficial for ALL pre 2010 schemes (my payroll scheme did not have a DOTAS reference and when I...
Hello All,
I have a question which I’m hoping some of the accountancy folk on here may be able to answer.

Well, I suppose I asked for views and I got them:smile.
This really is not about 'kowtowing' to HMRC, neither is it about rolling over or being timid. My preference is to take a reasoned approach and pick my battles. As much as I'd like to tell them to poke it, I really won't be left with a...
No, haven't asked HMRC - I'm assuming their default response would be along the lines of how can you admit liability for three years but not the remaining two....
But I'm guessing..
So, I've received my settlement offer from HMRC and I have a letter I need to sign and send back to them if I want to proceed with settlement. Whilst I'd prefer not hand over a wad of cash, I would really like this to be over and done with. They have confirmed that IHT is not currently due...
