    NAS drive

Actually I have a couple of the Terastation Pro IIs and I love em, never given me a moments problem, I currently have 4x1.5tb disks in them (so 8 disks in all), one is the master and syncs all the data to the slave device. I also have an OpenFiler box that works wonders for my vSphere box as well.

My experience of The Sanzar Partnership

Not meaning to be a pedant.... their advice Oh and isn't it time you took that permie job Mr Crusoe? ;) I wasn't keen on their way of operating, I had limited dealings with them and at the end of the day I am glad for that.

    Accomodation in Luxembourg

A follow up from my earlier post. The place I stayed in was called Studio, they are a managed service studio provider (room and bathroom). I would also suggest going around the ex-pat pubs and asking around there, that's actually where I found out about Studio (go to Maybe Not Bob's for...

    Accomodation in Luxembourg

I stayed in a place that was dedicated to temp staff, it was close to the airport (not really an issue with flights tho as the windows were double glazed), close enough to Luxembourg city and various locations where the banks have their offices (it used to take me no more than 10 mins by car to...

    agency trick?

I was fed a line about having to meet the agent and provide a copy of my passport as well as providing references before I was allowed to start at my current contract. As it happens a meeting before the start date didn't happen because of illness (both of us) and once I had started I asked...

    Asking for a rate increase

In all honesty I wouldn't do it at the three month point, I would have accepted the contract initially being happy with the rate that I had knowing that I would be looking for an increase at the 6-9 month point. One thing you have to remember is that at 3 months you're only just starting to...

What is a state of the art PC nowadays?

It depends on the board, sometimes if you need to upgrade the bios you may have to use a floppy :( I also know some companies are still using NT4 so no possibility of using a usb device either.

What is a state of the art PC nowadays?

It really depends on what you want to do with it. I could spec out the mother of all pc's but if you only want it to run Office and t'internet then it would be a waste, if however you want to play the newest PC games coming out then it would be ideal.

    Best time to start looking?

I always tend to start looking at about the two week point, I know by this time whether I have an extension (hopefully but not always the case) and it gives me the comfort of know I could possibly walk straight into a new contract when I want to. As far as pimps go, don't trust them as far as...
