I'm afraid so. the only advice I can give is Never Ever have anything to do with Giant. Since I started following this advice I've had no problems with them.

services company question on tax return

You might be right. But they have already had 2 goes at clarifying it, and people are still non the wiser. Did I perform services for the agency? Maybe what they really mean is "Do you think we should consider the possibility that you are caught by IR35?)

services company question on tax return

Based on the HMRC guidance I would be OK to leave the box on the return blank because:- “the services were provided under a contract between the client(s) and a company of which you were, at any time during the tax year, a shareholder ...” Does not apply. There is a contract between the client...

    Annual Accounts - No Accountant

No. In fact even if you have an accountant it will be you the director that signs to say the accounts are correct.

    Banking Cater Allen

Because the interest rate with Cater Allen is more than twice that of Abbey.

    Carter Allen

You know you can get a Cater Allen account through Contractor UK Here I guess this is the same deal the PCG can give you. Most accountants will do the same thing.

    Best Bank

You’ll earn about twice as much interest with Cater Allen compared to Abbey (and Barclays will actually charge you for looking after your money). Take your pick, but to suggest that they are all the same is nonsense.

    Giant Powerhouse Composite

    the ultimate contractor car ?

As the ultimate contractor, I'd just like to point out that I worked on both the Bugatti Veyron and the Bentley Continental GT (at the same time). But they never let me drive either of them :( (perks for the permies).

So much for going down the plumbing route

I think you’re all missing an obvious point. He hired a plumber to fit a bit of carpet! No wonder it was expensive. What he needs is a carpet fitter. Problem solved. I don’t know why you didn’t ask for my help sooner.

    BNP & Abu Hamza

Well assuming I’m right (I don’t actually know, or give a sh1t, where he’s from) he’s an immigrant. Isn’t he? And if he was actually born in Wales, why doesn’t he confine his politics to his homeland, rather than interfering in our affairs? Bloody foreigners! (Ooh what a giveaway)

    BNP & Abu Hamza

Isn’t it odd that Nick Griffin (an Englishman from a wealthy family) lives in rural Wales? A nation conquered and subjugated by the English in much the same why he feels the Muslims are now trying to do to England.
