Hi,
Can anyone confirm that the Contractor Calculator calculator is broken in as much that they are adding 'Additional' Employers NI (i.e. deemed) twice?
<removed>.
Cheers
Thanks for this Phil, looks like a very well implemented spreadsheet. I'm going to review the output and I'll be in touch. I do have one question though.
The Inside IR35 calculations show a dividend being taken (all be it only 3.5k for the year), I thought all monies had to be as PAYE salary or...
Thanks for the suggestion, however (and forgive me if I'm being stupid!), but that calculator seems broken!
It seems they are deducting 'Additional' Employers NI twice..
Anyone else confirm this?
All,
I've been on the scout for some /realistic/ and detailed IR35 comparison calculators and found http://calculator.contractoruk.com/ir35-calc.php"]this[/URL] one.
Looks pretty good to me, for instance I plugged in gross earnings of 70k, shares 100% to consultant, 11k salary, 1.5k corp costs...
Thanks guys - all valid points.
However, in conclusion it seems to me that if you genuinely are outside IR35, and the QDOS/etc. WP assessment judges you outside (which by default it would), then by all means go ahead and take that insurance if you wish, it will give some people peace of mind...
Regarding taking Divis..
Personally I take one out every 3 months, meanwhile I use 0% credit cards to take the hit in between. I presume a lot of other people operate this way too. :D
Agreed, personally I pay myself an 11k salary, but would consider increasing it if necessary.
Yeah, I've had it reviewed and also have IR35 insurance, am also considering joining the PCG. I am however very paranoid about Hector, and since there is a legal requirement for PCG (or any membership...
Thanks for the feedback. So I take it if you purchase TLC35 then you're also entitled to a contract review, with changes suggested as needed? Thing is, as you say, that's just contractual changes, not working practice changes.
My point was that Accountax seem to be sticking their neck out on...
Hi,
What do people think of the Accountax "IR35 Guarantee"?
Sounds to me that as long as they OK your contract then you're pretty much sleeping easier at night.. I know the costs aren't exactly cheap but thinking on the grand scheme of things..
In my opinion this would be better than say...
Can anyone tell me the calculations, or point me in the correct direction, for determining how much the IR would want back from you presuming a successful IR35 "win" against you?
I know they want all Tax and NI back as well as 7% APR but what about penalties. I understand the penalties to be %...
So presumably he won't have to personally pay any of the £99k back then? Presuming he's taken Accountax IR35 Guarantee?
That actually sounds quite tempting, yeah fair enough it's around 1k up front, but then you don't need to worry about 35.
Stuart!
I formed my Ltd via SJD, and even though I stated my sector, my SIC is 03 (None Supplied) at Companies House.
It looks as though (some) accountants / company formation companies are pro-actively filtering out specific SICs?
Either way, I still think the FRS is going to be used as part of...
Thanks for the replies, I shall read the official legislation..
How about if she was just an employee and not a shareholder?
BTW I hear what you are all saying about "if we split up" / etc.
