2 months on the bench and loving it
Enjoying the summer (when it's nice out), got tons of jobs around the house finally done, went on the Orient Express, visited friends, caught up on various shows I've always wanted to watch, built a shed, been a tourist in my own city, had plenty of exercise, yadayadayada... Not even bothered... -

Dividend related query
There is a difference between GROSS dividend and NET dividend. Have you tried reading the first timer guides on this very site? See the links on the right hand side for more info. Best Of luck- MrRobin

WHS 'Mistakes' happen all the time. Have you got a CT bill or VAT bill outstanding? Pay yourself by mistake then correct it in a few days time. Get creative- MrRobin

New PCG IR35 Questionnaire
I just completed it and got High Risk. No big surprise really... Although I get my contracts reviewed and passed for IR35, I know I'm in that grey area... What does all this mean though? Is it no longer contract to contract based? If deemed inside with this new test, will Hector be after taxes...- MrRobin

Seed Enterprise Investment Schemes
Was searching the budget report for mention of changes to EIS or VCTs and came across Seed Enterprise Investment Schemes (SEIS) which offer a 50% income tax relief. I know they're obviously extremely risky but is anyone else considering investing like this? Where does one find such a company?- MrRobin

Bastards! On page 29 of the budget pdf, it says the 40% threshold will come down by £2,125, so the amount you earn before paying 40% will be reduced by £1,025! I.e. we're £206 worse off. -
