    in this weather

Although I'm not in the vicinity now, was brought up in the area. Fantastic beaches, Caswell, Lanland and Rhossili ..... I've two flats rented out down the Marina there, plus one over on Barry Waterfront. The tenants are probably having a whale of a time, envy them in this weather.

How much does your car know about you?

They collect a lot more than you think - Just finished listening to the BBC podcast about the North Wales Crossbow Murder. The guy who eventually got convicted was caught due to the telemetry from his GFs new Land Rover Discovery. He got spooked and had it torched, whereupon the police smelt a...

Why I fell out with my family

If the seller was a bit liberal with the truth and was not completely transparent on the PIF during the sale, then your new neighbour could potentially have a claim against him. Although it's easy to skim over responses and skirt around the reality, the hard fact is it's misrepresentation which...

All nuclear reactors to restart by this winter

Tesla Powerwall 2 ... it's the future. Surely. Although prices including installation have doubled since I last looked.

Anyone else live in South West? :)

This was actually the reason I legged it from Liskeard quite a number of years ago. Roads mainly in gridlock during the tourist season, frequent accidents on the roads wasting most of the day sitting in traffic.... then when the season ends, you find the shops closing at 4pm and having to travel...

    Solo caravanning.....

Not sure about other campers, but this can be overcome on the VW: Motorbike Racks I'd need to check but the max towbar weight is 100-120kgs.

    Solo caravanning.....

All very true. I went with a new California for the warranty (i've extended to 5 years). If I was going to go down the conversion route i'd want to be involved or do part of it myself, but I just don't have the time these days. The Sprinter is a popular choice or a Traffic hi-top as you say...

    Solo caravanning.....

I looked at doing a conversion. There's quite a lot of work involved though. I woudn't have had the time. A decent spec Ocean is 55k list for a 150PS DSG.

    Solo caravanning.....

I've just got myself a brand new VW California Ocean. Best of both worlds. Can be parked on the drive and used as a 2nd/3rd/4th car. Easy just to jump in and head off. Takes 5 minutes to set up, just the hydraulic roof up, awning out and turn the captain chairs around. Perfect for weekends or...

Porsche not safe, more fun and games for VW

Its the idiot behind the wheel that is the cause of the issue not the car. The cars don't lend themselves too well to frontal collisions (911s or Carerra GTs) - in 911s, Boxters and Caymans the fuel tank is in the front luggage compartment forward of the bulkhead. A receipe for disaster if it...
