Thank you. That's exactly what I was looking for.

Any new rules coming into force on April 6?

Let me clarify. "Returning to contracting" implies I am familiar with IR35 as of a few years ago. Any dramatic changes since then, as in mandatory self-declarations and external audits and sorts?

Any new rules coming into force on April 6?

Looking to go back contracting (despite contractor mates going permie anticipating the fallout from Brexit). Any new rules coming into force from April 6 that affect IR35 status or limited companies otherwise? Buy-to-lets and pensions are getting hit harder. I would be surprised the...

    [Merged]Brexit stuff

#brexit: what's in it for you? #brexit: what's in it for you? What's wrong with foreigners being in the country? How are these foreigners different from those with British passports and a thick foreign accent? Don't other countries welcome both? Restoring the former glory? How does that...

Bringing IT employees from outside Europe

Hey all, I know this is possible. If anyone has experience I'm interested in any links to the hoops one needs to jump to provide for a sponsorship visa, and any tax implications of doing so. E.g would a foreign agency search fee be tax deductible? Thank you.

Why do you say so? They have bonuses if a perm job, right? What's a decent IB contract these days? Same 10 hrs.

    Choices, choices

It is on the reasonable side, for London at least. I expect 10 hrs per day. It is longer than my current gig, but is not a back breaker. Commute is going to be much worse. And there's nothing wrong with my current gig aprat from it does not look sexy at all on the CV.

    Choices, choices

My commute is going to be 30 min longer. New skills and technologies? I hope so, but how do you know upfront? Most importantly, the people you are going to work with are the big unknown... For me at least.

    Choices, choices

"They" make us believe that hedge funds have more potential, but is that so? And if so, why? I don't have a clear view on this. Front office jobs at banks normally mean shoveling piles tulips. I feel it's a bit of a lottery with HFs. Some are better than others. But, if I were to take the HF...

Oh well. So you never get yourself into a pickle? :) The contract is likely to roll, but getting into a HF is far from easy - they make me think. What does mumsnet say?
