Clearly they are trying it on. As mentioned before sent a SAR request to the solicitors. This will create additional admin and as they are clearly using bully tactics will soon have to decide they no longer wish to represent their client and drop the case. Only works if most people do it. Here...
As a warning, just because the client is outside of the UK does not mean its automatically an outside IR35. If anything matters are more complex as the determination and liability falls on you so have to be extra carefull.
You are not very clear with your situation, no idea where you are based or how you are engaging with client.
In any case, for what its worth, I run a UK registered LTD company, with an agent & client based in the EU. No special accounting is required, except zero rate VAT with a statement on...
Thank you. It's not a firm offer yet, so I am just trying to understand if I am getting into my anything unusual I need to further consider outside of the usual UK client consideration. That's why I sound vague as I have no real knowledge or details to focus on. Trying to find out what issues I...
Anyone with the experience of providing services to a European based company and getting paid from outside of the UK?
I appreciate if anyone with personal experience can share any information and things to watch out for.
Thanks
Ps. Please do not reply with a talk to an accountant response
Whilst I am sure no funny schemes are being offered, it is not unheard of companies disappearing under funny circumstances without paying the deducted NI/tax to HMRC, and HMRC demanding the tax and NI from the individuals. This was rather common during the 1990s and 2000s wild-west years
Ehhhm, Having suffered 14 years of pain and sleepiness nights being previously involved with totally above board, dont worry about it, its all legit , and top QCs recommend it employment schemes, I would personally keep as many miles away from offshore not 100% UK based companies.
The way I read this paragraph 2.6 is that in order to benefit from the new Loan Charge terms, you must first settle your pre 2010, and then it clearly says the pre-2010 loans are not benefiting from the new terms
2.6 Where individuals have both loan charge liabilities and disguised remuneration...
Whilst I am encouraged by the positive posts and hope pre 2010 are now treated more fairly, I read this section of the gov.uk 'review' commentary released yesterday posted below under the heading Background to the measure . Hopefully this paragraph means that the review looked at Loan Charge...
The crazy thing is the review appears not to effect pre 2010 enquiries. Whilst Loan Charge victims get some reduction in liabilities, pre 2010 DR enquiries appear to be uneffected by the review which is absolutely mental
Loan Charge review and Government response is out
Anyone with understanding of the response can post an idiot's guide please?
And how does this effect pre 2010 /11 DR unsettled liabilities and APNs?
As always with you eek, Why let Facts get in the way of your Narrative?
And me avoiding tax makes me an idiot?? Well, I still got the money I avoided, and triplet it over the last 15 years , and HMRC can come sniff my backside for ever, but they cant do jack about it
Who is the idiot now?
