What to learn for the next upturn
Info security Info security I've been trying for an info sec role since November and still out of work. If my SC hadn't lapsed things would be different, but in the commerial sector its deader and than a dead thing.- kula

Things said in interviews that p*ss you off...
I like "can you name some of your key strengths and weaknesses?" Strengths - power of 10 men, hearing of a bat and able to assume any form. Weaknesses - garlic, crucifixes and running water. Do I get the gig then?- kula

First time contractor - advice needed.
I left a permie role in october to go contracting and I am struggling to find a good role (in IT security). I have the luxury of being able to pay my bills till the new year where I hope it will pick up, but if I had the time again I would have probably waited another month or two. Just get xmas...- kula

Barclays gives 4 weeks notice!
They are really tightening their belt, unauthorised travel has been cancelled, training has been halted etc. I also understand they are or have dropped contractor rates by 10% too. They could actually shed a lot more, 250 is really not at all significant given some of their major infrastructure...- kula
