    From the point of productivity and cost you would think allocating a desk would be sensible. Instead I carry round a laptop and heavy files daily. Takes a bit of time to set-up and pack-up everyday. Not a major issue as long as I get paid for it....just don't like sharing one desk in a small...

    Rising above it is hard. I don't have other contractors to laugh about it - as its also several contractors that are doing this.     Changing non IR35 contract clauses

    Yep! Have let a few contracts go as a result. Key is to try and get the changes done before you start. This can be difficult as agents only seem to want to send contracts out at the last minute - so you start without a contract! But even then I've had no luck on this!:tumble:

    I had a year off and was looking in the last downturn and eventually got a role at a charity. I did put the gap on my cv with travelling to explain it - which may help if you have not already done so.
