Certainly for BT, on my iPhone I can only send outgoing email when I have the iPhone connected to their infrastructure, so at home when I'm on my wifi which uses BT Broadband. They must block the traffic to their mail servers when it doesn't come from one of their sources (e.g. BT Broadband... -
