    You should (if being 100% honest) let holder of SC know come Monday, explain things. They shouldn't care at all about it, SC more about honesty and being open about issues to prevent blackmailing etc. DV would be more problematic and 100% disclose everything.

    I don't think any of the people l know have written the letter to HMRC yet declaring (as an amendment to the return), l think one or two may have declared on tax return. No word from them yet. Did you go online to see your statement or did HMRC send it to you? Strange that it's dropped off...

    PM me. Lots of us are in the same boat. I'm just an IT contractor but can give a slightly fuller picture, although with HMRC being entirely ambiguous and changing the rules whenever they feel like it, it's not a clear picture for anyone [even them l think].

    Just be honest and disclose. An old colleague of mine got through with huge debts, all they did for him is give him initial 1 year then he renewed and got 5 year. Main thing about SC is honesty and integrity.
