In about the last 4-5 days I've been unable to access the APP on iphone, seems to be unable to login or recognise login credentials? Any known issues?
Nothing wrong with my account as able to access via web. Tried to delete App and re-install but can't seem to find it on Apple Store, has it been...
And what about the transaction going in the opposite direction from the users bank account to a ‘management’ (so called trust’ ) company? Could we not also loosely
determine that this was also a ‘loan’ to the scheme in the first place! Seems to be a very one way argument here that favours the...
Not really sure what the whole report means...How have they managed that? A 1.8% settlement on a liability of 34m !! That’s about £600k.
Or are HMRC banking on also receiving a large sum back directly from the contractors who have settled their PAYE liability’s or are in the process of settling...
I think what webberg was saying with option a is the IHT is calculated within the settlement agreement based on the timing of when you are settling (from when the loans were first taken). In order to meet those terms you have to write off within a certain time.
If you don’t get write off in that...
I thought the IHT was charged after the loan is written off? Also you mentioned above “will be charged 1% of the outstanding balance PLUS the IHT”. Aren’t these actually the same thing, are you confusing the two?
The ref set aside is mentioned in the Gov site under ‘Make and serve a statutory demand, or challenge one’.
It’s definitely worth reading through the sections that give clear guidance of what a SD is, and how to challenge it. Also the template doc is on there to challenge it but prob worth...
I was using one of the schemes named above from 2014 till 2016 BUT have already settled in 2019 under the CLS02, assuming I’m clear?
(Although that probably doesn’t mean they won’t send me a letter!)
Did some interesting reading on company accounts last night re these schemes (APSE/Via trade). The liquidator reports that it could take 5 yrs to complete, and reports around the contractors are now being engaged by revenue. This would prob explain all the litigation actions.
Having already...
It seems some letters from HMRC around employment arrangements are now doing the rounds for prev employees of Via Trade. Guessing they have been sent to all known users that were on their radar, even for some that have previously settled!! Not really surprised probably sent in blanket fashion...
They seem to be templated letters, I received 2, both in the same envelope and with the same date on. However first one was in regards to the original return I submitted back in Jan and then the other letter corresponds to the ‘amended’ return I filed later in the year which included some...
Believe I met the criteria based on disclosure of dr in company accounts, had 9a open enquires to a scheme which I finally settled April 19. If I did request refund I assume if I was entitled to refund I would just have new enquires then reopened for this and be back to square one? Albeit a...
One thing to point out though which I believe was discussed before, if settlement is signed and sealed and paid, that would be closure to the open Enq. Even though you may not receive a letter/correspondence to confirm that?
I wouldn’t want someone to come back a few years later asking for some...
If the LC is paid then they may eventually get round to review the open enquires and close, however if they deem further tax is due (based on liability for ‘settlement’) they will no doubt come after you.
What about this story, just when you thought this government could not sink any lower....
