    “ELITE Contractor Care” please help

This! This! This. If you are an IPSE member please get in touch and we'll have a look at warning others not to get caught in this scheme.

So I think its finally dawned on IPSE's management

It is early days and we'll be working on a full analysis and response, and we'll be continuing to lobby with evidence-based research and hand-in-hand with other industry bodies. However "We can't be treated as businesses and taxed as employees." is a pretty good starting point. IPSE spent...

Hudsons will pay the fee for your time and reimburse any authorised travel expenses.

So I think its finally dawned on IPSE's management

Just to clarify, contrary to what you (with no first-hand knowledge of Hudson's business or at what level their advisors operate at) may think, we can assure you that IF it was a tax avoidance scheme then IPSE would not and will not condone it.

I suspect this could actually work in your favour but until you see (and post) the different Ts&Cs for the "consultancy" then there's...

Renting a flat - what about bills and council tax?

Yep, that's the thrust of it.

Renting a flat - what about bills and council tax?

Although it doesn't speak to utility bills, we strongly suggest you read this Actor loses battle for tax relief for accommodation costs On a practical note if you can bear a flatshare then https://www.mondaytofriday.com may be of interest.

    Transport/petrol allowance

HMRC scale rates apply and remember, it's not just meant to cover fuel - there's depreciation, wear & tear and servicing costs for the vehicle. Most average petrol cars actually cost about £1 per mile to run.

    Client Security/Credit Check - IR35 Risk?

It's standard/mandated practice in loads of clients - especially in Financial Services - and has no bearing on IR35.

In fairness to us, you have had answers - you just weren't happy with them. As explained previously we will not expose detailed plans/responses on a public forum.
