I assume it'll be in Bangkok?
Considering that the rush hour traffic is a lot worse than in London, you should either live close to where you'll work or if the it's is close to a sky train station you can just make sure that you live close to a sky train station too. Sky train is more or less...
But reviewing the contracts for IR35 issues etc isn't part of the standard package from most accountants as far as I saw when I was looking around...
Myself, I went to Qdos to review my first contracts, though I might try Bauer and Cotrell for my next since they seem to get a lot of praise for...
You could always go for Darren at http://www.1staccountancy.biz/. I've been with them for over a year now and am happy with both the service and the cost (he's saved me more money than I pay him :).
I've been using 1st Accountancy for almost a year now and am happy with the service (good replies to any questions, usually very quickly) and the cost.
Very true, one of the few things I miss from Sweden! Never been as cold indoors in Sweden as I have in the UK :)
Though, Sweden can manage it even easier than that, if they were willing to sacrifice some more rivers it could get enough energy from water power to power most of the country I believe.
I don't know how many go there to work, but I've heard that there used to be quite a few cases of Balts and Poles going to Sweden to get in to prison, apparently the prison wages were fairly good in Sweden and with free food and lodgings they could save up quite a bit of money to bring home when...
Re. Accountant.
I've had good service from Darren (http://www.1staccountancy.biz/) who sometimes posts messages on this board. Quick responses to all my emails (even got a response on New Years day :).
He's same price as Quay I think, I know he's cheaper than SJD.
In Sweden it's quite easy to find (especially up in the north, Lappland, since that's where they breed them). The most commonly sold reindeer meat is quite dry and disgusting (I'm not much for game meat either), but I know a pizza place that's got a perfectly acceptable reindeer pizza on the menu.
Personally I went with Darren, who answers questions here sometimes. I've only been with him for 3 months, but so far I'm very satisfied.
I've received quick and helpful replies to every email I've sent him so far.
His website is http://www.1staccountancy.biz/.
Qdos consulting have a freelance club, that's just £25 +VAT per year, and then you can send in up to 3 contracts per year for IR35 assessment. You'll only get a Fail or a Pass result though, if you want more details you'll have to pay more.

From my first weeks experience I'd recommend Darren. I just started contracting a few weeks ago and I've asked quite a lot of questions that have all been answered quickly (the slowest email response has been a few hours) with good explanations.
Can't compare it...
