I've had good and bad experiences but the two that really stand out are - Opus Recruitment Solutions down in Bristol and Intapeople in Cardiff. Top guys. :music:
Just an update. OK so I left it a little longer then decided enough is enough. Their 7 days runs out on Wednesday, no reply at all so far, I think they think I'm bluffing.
I use JSA as an Umbrella too, overall, a good responsive service.
On a side note, QwertyBerty, where would you recommend as a good starting point for learning more accountancy skills?
That would make my year. :rollin:
Do you think it's worth trying CAB then? or should I just go ahead with the threat of a CCJ? I don't want to shoot myself in the foot.
Yeah that's what I had in mind too.
Unfortunately I don't have a written contract as such but I have got emails with them before I started work there, stating my hourly rate, payment schedule etc. Hindsight is a wonderful thing hey! The worst thing is that I worked there for a long time before...
Hi everyone, I just need a bit of advice about a problem client. The background is I used to work at this company for a good few years. I left to go freelance/contract and 5 months after I left I went back there to do 2 months of work. 3 weeks in I get offered a great work opportunity somewhere...
I've been with JSA for the past 5 months. Pretty good, always someone at the end of the phone and the txt messages they send to confirm invoices and payment are quite handy.
I'm also on the lookout for a good umbrella company.
Also, here's a question for any of you who have ltd's, In terms of money, how much better off might I be if I started a limited company as opposed to using an umbrella company? Do I still pay ERNI with a ltd co?
I'm just still a little...
Haha ok. I just stumbled on this similar thread though so apologies http://forums.contractoruk.com/general/24749-there-many-young-contractors.html
House Prices? I live in a place where the price of houses is ten-years behind everyone else lol.
I'm 25 too :) But I feel older than that due to 2 kids, wife and mortgage lol. All good fun. But like you say, I've only ever come across contractors 30+
Hi everyone!
Just joined here. I've only been contracting for the past 2 months or so now and it's going well but I thought it might be interesting to find out how old you lot are and maybe, more relevently, how old were you when you first started out.
All other contractors I know in real life...
