Buying out your contract from the Agent

The driver is cash saving. Saving for my client who I have a very good relationship with and hopefully an increase margin for me. The agent adds no value and has no contact other than renewal time. I'd like to understand peoples view in terms of IR35. I'd assumed that going direct, business to...

No To Retro Tax – Campaign Against Section 58 Finance Act 2008

Does this mean that there are grounds for Montpelier users to challenge and not have to pay anything prior to 2004/2005 ? It sounds like we are one of many schemes that came under DOTAS and were at risk and therefore there could be a rule for consistency ?

No To Retro Tax – Campaign Against Section 58 Finance Act 2008

Isn't this another double standard then. Our scheme users get penalised prior to 2004 where as everyone else potentially get's penalised post 2004 ?

Apologies DR if I appear out of the loop with this but does the DOTAS proposal mean that people who worked through an EBT scheme are at risk of retrospective tax also ? If so how far back could that apply ?

Next steps... Next steps... Hi all, I recently received a 5 page letter from Gauke refuting all of the issues that have been raised by my MP. My MP has since told me that there is nothing more he can do to support but I'm keen to go back and challenge again. Today's NTRT newsletter made...

Consistency ? Consistency ? Hi Toocan - don't get me wrong, I'm fully behind the activities of this group and the No To Retro campaign. What was interesting tonight is that it was the lead story on BBC and Sky news at 10pm and prior to this, there was a debate on the BBC news about the...

No To Retro Tax – Campaign Against Section 58 Finance Act 2008

Consistency ? Consistency ? Amazing to see the comments about this today including the PM and other people. Good to see that HMRC are investigating all avoidance schemes - however, bet a £100k they don't backdate their tax. I just can't ever see this happening. CONSISTENCY...
