    Cost of Goods

Hi First time post for ages! I've set up a new eCommerce Plan B business & signed up for Quick Books to track my accounts (although this isn't specific to Quick Books). My question is 100% as a newbie to this type of business, so please excuse my naivety. I need to buy a lot of stock, and...

    Leaving SJD Accountants

If my company year end was 30th September and I have paid monthly to SJD, do they legally have to provide my year end accounts and self-assessment for that period even if I leave now? I really want to leave them as the service levels are at 'joke' status but I'm also fearful that if I leave...

SJD Accountancy - returning to quality service standards?

Well I'm certainly leaving SJD, as soon as they've done my year end accounts and sorted last years self-assessment (which they've now messed up twice). Been in touch with Dolan Accountancy and at first were very helpful. Now I've had a follow up email asking if I want to set up a new Limited...

    Leaving SJD Accountants

What's their accounting software like? I've always been a fan of SJD's simple spreadsheet which is one reason I'm reluctant to leave. Dynamo for example don't give you any examples of what their software is like

    Leaving SJD Accountants

Must admit I'm very seriously considering leaving SJD - the service has taken a dreadful nosedive over the past year or so. I'm chasing them for everything all of a sudden. Self assessment, VAT returns and today asked if they wanted my year end bookkeeping/bank statements as it passed last week...

IR35 PS - So anyone had the discussion yet?

Woman at my last gig claimed expenses for the whole 6 years she was there. She was also in charge of the stationery cupboard, went on company training days & said IR35 didn't affect her because it was aimed at contractors who had multiple gigs. Brilliant.

IR35 PS - So anyone had the discussion yet?

I'm out of here next Friday. Was offered 6 month extension but we've had an email stating we will all be inside from April. I think the most frightening thing coming out of all this is how clueless the majority of contractors are and how the agencies/clients don't understand a word of it...

Staying in the same public sector contract after April 2017

I was offered an extension yesterday as they now know the project will not get delivered. I promptly declined and leave on Feb 3rd. Will be very interesting how this whole thing pans out & I'm convinced many organisations still have no idea how this is going to affect them. My current gig...

    LinkedIn

Ok, I'll do that but there definitely was a way to flag yourself as 'looking for next role' a year or so back. I'll update my profile now.

I can't find my status - that's what I mean. I presume you mean just add a note in my profile?

    LinkedIn

I always thought there was a way to flag yourself as looking for your next gig within LinkedIn. However, I've been looking for 15 minutes & can't find it anywhere! Anybody know how/where please?

Staying in the same public sector contract after April 2017

We've all had emails this morning confirming contractors inside IR35 from April. The mass exodus begins & panic with the client is now tangible!
