If I understand correctly it’s a 20% discount off a new car’s price.
But if a three year old car comes with a 50% reduction on the new price why wouldn’t a company be tempted if it could live without the warranty?
With the BIK reductions for electric cars over the next couple of years I’ve been considering buying a used electric car through the company. I’m looking to buy used rather than lease a new vehicle to get better value for money.
Usually buying a used car through the company makes little sense...
Does anyone know of a good spreadsheet for modelling various income/corp tax scenarios from a contractor's perspective?
I'm looking to test out various combinations of dividend, salary, expenses and pension. I googled and searched here but so far I've only found simple calculators that only...
FreeAgent long-termer
FreeAgent long-termer
I've been using FreeAgent without an accountant for a while now and I'm pretty happy with it.

Ex-fleet are typically...
Thanks for the input guys.

I'm engaged and adventurous :freaky:
> you will be paying Swiss tax/NI which is not low
Actually the net take home on an example payslip worked out as 80% of gross, although there is the...
A few successful interviews on the same day have delivered me with a nice problem but not much time to solve it.
What do folks think of these options?
1. Local contract on reasonable money for 3 months min
Reasonable work at a commutable distance.
2. Live away UK contract on same money for 3...
I realise the thread title suggests I'm joining The Mob but that's a world of intimidation, prostitution and racketeering, I'm actually following my brother into contracting. :eyes
I plan to make the jump in April when the market picks up a little and he's offered to let me join his company...
