Murray Group (Rangers) tax case - decision today?

Murray Group was a mess of companies under one umbrella. The only one left standing is Rangers, who are being managed by BDO It is unclear if they have the desire to appeal. There is little left in the pot to cover their expenses, never mind a court case. HMRC have driven it to this stage, and...

Working Away From Home, Hotels, B&B's or Renting better ?

If you're near a Uni over the summer, check out their Halls of Residence. When the students clear our, they might be renting the spare rooms. Cheaper than 2* hotels, laundry service, not too many people.

Technet Subscription - 25% off all Microsoft Store products!

Do-able, it's what I do. MS tend to overlook licensing on genuine test rigs, as opposed to live systems. I created a template image (basic O\S, set to a workgroup, licence activated), and have used it to create over a dozen VMs. However....you'll need VMWare Virtual Server to run W2k8 - MS...

Question about lengthy\current gap in CV

Not so good. I've been honest about the length of gap, and why I have been out for so long. Question about lengthy\current gap in CV

Agreed. I'm fine with tweaking my CV, but am not comfortable with outright lying. Too easy to get caught out I was just looking for a way to explain the gap that wouldn't put off either the agents or the client, but it looks liek there's no easy way to do it

Question about lengthy\current gap in CV

Cheers mate, that's good to know. TBH, I think my biggest problem with the agents might well be the lack of recent contacts
