I completely disagree. I had a blast when I was there. Contrary to popular belief, the Swiss Germans love going out, drinking, eating out, going to clubs, etc. And they're very nice to work with as well. I had 0 complaints.- DataDude

Ah yes, I did forget about the meat and fish prices. That you do want to avoid. Pork is cheap there, for some reason. But loading the trolley up with goods from Germany is more of an option in Basel than Zurich.- DataDude

I worked and lived there for a few years. First of all, that rate is low. Very low. You could survive ok on 800 a day maybe, but I never took less than 1100 a day and billed as high as 1400 a day.. Eating out, drinking out, buying clothes - it's all brutally expensive there. Rent is ridiculous...- DataDude
