Clarification on "2 year rule"

How about accomodation? How about accomodation? I'm assuming hotel/B&B/rent is treated the same as travel expenses?? I live in the midlands but rent a room in London while I'm working down here. It isn't practical to relocate the whole family to london, so my room is always an added expense...
