Hi
Ive been looking at Umbrellas with pension options, and most are signed up to NEST in some form or another
Is it me or are the charges ridiculously high on NEST - 1.8% in and 0.3% annual fees -

Has anyone found umbrellas with lower cost options for...
Hi
I've not used any of the above but it was mentioned in another thread that paystream allow u to pay into a sipp for £2.60 a week which would allow u to use your existing pension
Seriously? Corbyns policies are mostly based around social democratic values
Nothing will stifle entrepreneurship more than a us style health system
I'm not a labour voter but can see that
Hi
I think the opposite is true. It's the beginning of flexible work for all.
The implementation of the private sector ir35 changes mean that end clients can treat you as a permie resource. The implication then becomes why bother having permie staff? Just recruit thru umbrellas on fixed term...
Hi
I was thinking who I would vote for in terms of supporting contractors - and the answer is really none of the above.
Closest I could get was libdem - but they introduced the public sector rules
I dont think this view point will last post april - there will be a lot of contractors opting for permanent roles fr the stability. Why pay PAYE for no employee/workers rights, and then have to chase contracts every 6-12 months?
I do not believe that for one minute - history has shown wrt contractors that HMRC will change their position, and even introduce retrospective laws to recover money they feel is owed.
Thats not my understanding - certainly wasnt how it worked in public sector. You had to ensure payment of final invoice by end of fin year
Take the renewal but quit end of feb to ensure payment?
