Wish they’d have proper tests like ‘upgrade this old app with dependencies that are 4 years out of date’. Or ‘refactor these tests that still use Enzyme to use react testing library’. I’d breeze through those as that’s been 50% of my last two roles.
Add 'if you vote Yes, then you'll be out of the EU, and the HS2 link to Edinburgh will likely be scrapped' to the list of things that ended up happening anyway.
My last interview was basically, 'Oh you say you know Javascript, name all the functions'. That and I weren't a good fit due to not knowing every new feature of React 18.
Recruiter who put me forward for a role at a large entertainment firm where i’d worked before said today he’s still not had any feedback. Was hoping the 2 days on site would have weeded out some applicants. Expecting the ‘they went with an earlier candidate / internally filled / funding pulled’...

I've been with them for a couple of years but the last 6 months have been a bit hit and miss with being paid on time, and more recently a mix up with PAYE after I stopped paying my student loan. Think I'm onto my 3rd account manager this year. The last one I didn't even know had left until I...
As far as I can see my tax code is still the same. I'm thinking I'm now paying too much PAYE or I wasn't paying enough before.
I've emailed them about it but haven't yet had a reply. To be honest the service I've been getting from them has being going downhill this year.
