Process of liquidation is concerning, same for others?

Thanks for the suggestions, looking into MVLonline now. The problem I'm having ladymuck is, how do you know which company is reputable. I haven't yet found a 'big name' if you know what I mean.

Process of liquidation is concerning, same for others?

Hi all, Been a while. I wanted to know, does anyone else find the process of liquidation concerning? I'm referring to, the process when sending 100% of the remaining funds of your account to a 3rd party who will then handle your funds, pay 75% back and keep the 25% for a year before finally...

LTD + SPV = what sort of accountant?

Hi all, I'm just in the process of changing accountant. Looking for someone who is good to work with and charges a fair rate. I was considering Crunch or something online but after reading up on here it seems like they might not be up to anything complex like including a SPV within the...

great to hear a success story ... I too am certified and been a scrum master. Yet it's just not happening (even for little money lol)

Thanks will also look into BA as it seems like many dev have done this although I'm more interested in product management....how to improve the product etc. but this seems like the most viable options.

Thanks for the reply guys, I'm currently keeping an eye to see what comes up, either perm or contract whatever the rate might try it out and see. Just have to wait till this dev contract comes to an end and take it from there. I've had one reference check that I know about only. But as others...

cheers, was this all contracts? how did you mention on your CV that you had to do those elements in your current role as it was not a huge business. This is what I'm finding hard to explain - especially to recruiters that just look at titles.

    technical background / previous devs

I see you're point but I'm not looking to move to a senior PM and I've seen a lot of PMs do many technical errors actually which I feel I can contribute to as I have that tech background. Ok another example: let's say product manager. I product manager doesn't even exist without the dev and in...

    technical background / previous devs

Hmmm there are "junior" lower rates. Would that not be possible? Especially if skills are transferrable. I've read some descriptions that require to have once had a dev background or been a dev.

So what would the plan be in that case? ... go perm for about 6 months then try contract again? Edit: Thanks lol

    technical background / previous devs

Well in the tech world some of the responsibilities overlap so I wouldn't say it's a completely different role. From project development to project manger for example. Indeed, I am finding it to be very difficult! Albeit I have had personal clients and covered the roles so can carry over the...

    technical background / previous devs

Very good point, thanks. Indeed it is very hard. The issue is that I have experience in the field however my previous job titles weren't dedicated to those roles. Had to find a recruiter that would put you forward...looks like I might have to move to a perm role or even not so senior.

Well in the technical environment responsibilities overlap. I have had my own clients before where I have covered similar roles but haven't had that particular role standalone. For example from a development background moving to a technical product/project manager.

Hi all, Looking for insight on anyone who has moved from a technical development background to contracting in a different field. What was your role before? What is your role now? How did you manage to make the switch? Cheers
